If not Vice-President, Murtha would be my first choice for Secretary of Defense. He is a long term veteran of the Marine Corps, and is most knowledgeable on military matters, and is well regarded by the military. :good:

Well, Earthmother........this is what I know: :read:
He (John Murtha) fought in Vietnam and then was against it. He supported the WAR in IRAQ based on FAULTY INTELLIGENCE from the BUSH ADMINISTRATION.
NOW, based on the BAD INFO he's willing to admit that a horrible mistake was made!!! :o
That's the difference between REPUBLICANS AND DEMOCRATS!
Democrats admit when they have made a mistake!

He does kind of remind me of McCain. Although I like Murtha, I think he will be a bit too old to run for VP in 2008, he will be 76 years old.

Hey :D John Murtha can't be any worse that "Shotgun Cheney" :clap: (don't get me wrong.......I have RESPECT for the office of Vice-President.....It's just my feelings and opinion)

Also, Rep. Murtha has been one of the FEW DEMOCRATS who has spoken out and is quite CREDIBLE!
