http://www.cnn.com/2006/POLITICS/01/20/rep...e.ap/index.html And one more thing Karl what's wrong afraid to talk about the corruption and scandals in your party that were busted last year like Jack Abramoff or the cia leak that you outed Joe Wilson's wife.
This isn't your country Karl and you don't speak for the people or the country, the only person you should be talking to you evil coo-coo bird is a ceiling in your prison cell with a orange prisonsuit.
The question we all need to ask as Americans is what would the Republicans mid-term efforts be focused on if there had not been a 9/11?
Roosevelt managed to get the country through the Great Depression while simultaneously, successfully, and effectively fighting a two front World War. This Administration has nothing to show for its five years in office but continual fear-mongering and the maintenance of Mr. Bush's "base" as he so aptly calls his rich donors. This Administration continues to show that it cannot do more than one thing at a time.
Democrats must articulate another way to fight terrorism based on law enforcement and international cooperation. In fact, I think some leader in our party should come out and say that there is no war on terror because you cannot have a war as defined by our Constitution without an entity that one can force or sue into surrender. This would take the Democrats and the nation out of this paradigm of the Republicans' choosing and place the nation back into the legal parameters of our Constitution.
Perhaps another opportunity to show leadership for our esteemed Mr. Gore.
