But rather than honor the man as politicians of every stripe were doing today, the truly corrupt, vile Democratic Satan, Hillary Clinton, who recently and quietly, out of the glare of the liberal news cycle, paid a sizeable fine for campaign finance fraud, chose instead to politicize King's memory:

NEW YORK — Sen. Hillary Clinton on Monday blasted the Bush administration as "one of the worst" in U.S. history and compared the Republican-controlled House of Representatives to a plantation where dissenting voices are squelched.
Speaking during a Martin Luther King Jr. Day event, Clinton also offered an apology to a group of Hurricane Katrina survivors "on behalf of a government that left you behind, that turned its back on you." Her remarks were met with thunderous applause by a mostly black audience at the Canaan Baptist Church of Christ in Harlem.
The House "has been run like a plantation, and you know what I'm talking about," said Clinton, D-N.Y. "It has been run in a way so that nobody with a contrary view has had a chance to present legislation, to make an argument, to be heard."
"We have a culture of corruption, we have cronyism, we have incompetence," she said. "I predict to you that this administration will go down in history as one of the worst that has ever governed our country." |
Would you like to talk "culture of corruption" Hillary? Let's talk cattle futures and Whitewater and Rose Law Firm billing records and teenagers dead on the tracks at an airstrip in Mena, Arkansas and Travelgate and Lincoln Bedroom-gate and the death of Vince Foster and White House coffees and on and on and on. And all you have to offer is more class warfare BS.
For its part, in response, the Bush Administration pointed to the facts: A rapidly expanding Black middle class, a higher home ownership rate for Blacks than at any time in history and the strong economy that benefits everyone.
I've always suspected that Hillary was really a man and my suspicions are confirmed: She's got some pretty big gonads to be criticizing anyone -- particularly the current administration -- on ethics and corruption and opportunities for minorities. Seriously, is this this the best the Democrats think they can do in '08? If so, we'll win the presidency running away.

It's funny that in response to Hillary hitting the nail all the head, all this person can do is rehash disproved claims from the 90s, and rely on myths, rumors, and opinie without facts. I'm glad to see Hillary speaking truth to power, and glad to see that the Right-Wing seems to be incapable of making any substantive counter-point against her.
As for the assertion she's "politicizing" his memory he was a political figure, he fought against the things this Administration is bringing back, and this administration is doing everything in its power to roll back the progress he and others worked hard to make real.
It's no coincidence that our Current Vice President voted against the resolution that set aside today for Martin Luther King in the first place.
