Title: Ok, I've flip-flopped I'm supporting Tasini for NY
Description: He's running on the Dem ticket in NY

I like the Clintons a lot, and Hillary especially, however I decided to sign up for Jonathan Tasini's campaign volunteer team to help out with anything the campaign needs. He's against NAFTA, he's against the Iraq War, and he seems like the kind of progressive/liberal rejuvination this party needs when heading into 2008. I might be more weary of doing this if I thought Pirro was a factor, but because her campaign seems to be falling apart at the seams quicker than yarn, I think with the right effort Tasini just might have a chance, and if not, I don't think it will negatively affect Hillary's candidacy. So yeah, in the interest of full discosure  that's where I stand now. :)

I still like the Clintons though.

Thanks for the news, GS. I'd never heard of him before, but by the looks of it, I'll take this guy over Hillary any day. If he comes to my area, I'll work for him.

I made a mistake, I got the NAFTA/CAFTA guest (Jonathan Tasini) confused with the Hiroshima guest (Greg Mitchell) on the Counterspin show I heard. I guess I kind of jumped the gun, but nevertheless, he shed light on some aspects of Free Trade that I had not considered before, and he wants to bring the troops home. So even after the confusion I still beleive he's the best candidate.

A primary will be good for the party in NYS. It will help shake things out a bit.

However, I wonder why neither of the two anti-war candidates challenged Senator Schumer when he ran for re-election last year. He voted for the war and is still supporting it. His voting record is almost identical to Hillary's

Since Schumer was not as well funded, both Tasini and Steven Greenfield would have had a better shot than running against Hillary. Yet, they let Schumer run unopposed.

Just here to observe...not here to get into it with anybody...

Free trade is one of the most damaging things to America. I want my fellow Americans to have good, decent paying jobs so they can live under less stress, have the time to raise their children properly, and not have to rely on welfare. It is awesome to see a candidate calling for an end to NAFTA, WTO, and similar programs.
