Resolution to be introduced

Washington (Reuters)
An un-named source said this morning that Congress is expected to vote on a bill declaring George Bush "incompetent" to hold office! The resolution should pass in a rare Bi-Partisam vote this morning! Democrat and Republican Congress members agree that the President has shown disturbing incompetence during the last 3 1/2 years and appears to be "out of touch" with reality! It is expected to be passed by the Senate on tuesday. When asked at his Crawford County ranch in Texas over the weekend as to whether he would sign the Bill? George Bush was quoted as saying "you know, Congress is a pain in the ass sometimes"!!!

An alternate response from Bush about whether he'd sign the bill could've been: "I don't know. I never read anything, so I don't know what it's about."

Ugh. Gag me with a spoon. (What the hell did that expression ever mean anyway?)

As for Papa Bear, he was always saying he was going under, going to be disconnected, packing up and moving out, and this time I think he finally meant it. He said he wouldn't have Internet access for a while. I know he hasn't been posting at AGDems, either. I'm sure he'll resurface soon, though. You can't keep that guy down!

The movie, btw, Andrew, was pretty good. I wouldn't say it was great, but then I'm not a sci-fi fan, whereas my husband is. We saw it with our kids, too--17-year-old son and 10-year-old daughter--and they both thought it was great. I was squirming a bit with all the language because of my daughter, but she's heard it all at home, and on the whole it was good family entertainment. Will Smith was very good, and if you could get past some of the corny attempts at humor, the movie was well-done. The special effects were great. And yeah, there's the age-old sci-fi theme of what makes a human human? When does a robot become something more than a robot? Because it's Isaac Asimov, it's a good story--better than most.

It's good summertime fun, nothing more, nothing less.

:D Thanks for the info earthmother. I enjoy sci-fi movies also (I think it's a guy thing)! I LOVE the one's with special fx also :clap: Will Smith is not bad also. And, I forgot that Isaac Asimov wrote that! Most excellent indeed!

:jock: Yeah, it feels soooooooo good to be back. Earthmomma I could not stay away. You know I'm always with you, now don't you. For those of you who do not know this, Earthmother and I and Erin go back a long long ways. We were in the trenches together in the write in effort. We worked and worked like dogs, and lots thought we were off our rockers......they were right, we were. It didn't work out the way we hoped for, but we will always know we did our best to make something happen. We will always know that we tried.
