Couldn't help but notice this line in the article:

| A decline in George Bush’s support in Tennessee portends a favorable political environment for Ford. |
Might the decline in Bush's support in TN portend a favorable political environment for another of Tennessee's native sons? ;)

*sigh* It'd be so excited if Gore announced a bid for Senate returning to his TN roots. Not gonna happen though, not this late.

Gore would much rather hand the baton over to Harold Ford, Jr. as the Senate race goes anyway. Wouldn't it be marvelous if Ford could win the Senate? He used to stay with the Gores when he was a child...as his father was a Congressman from Tennessee and I guess he needed babysitting occasionally. The Gore girls campaigned for him when he ran for Congress. I tell you he is like family to people from Memphis, black and white alike. He has been a real representative to those in his district.
My mom saw him at a restaurant, talked politics with him a bit and when my mom went to pay the bill the waitress said Harold Ford had paid it. Now she wants to adopt him!!

That's interesting, Erin, just curious where did you ever find that information??? Since I've always been interested in AL'S family and ancestry, this is something new to me.
