Another idiot spewing out garbage against AL. :bad:

Clueless Clinton and Apoplectic Al seem destined to remain together--no matter how hard they offer up their attempts to try not to do so.
On Wednesday, at the ultra-liberal "We Media Conference" in New York, Gore decided yet again to lose a few more pieces of what's left of his mind. His rambling and often nonsensical speech about the Iraqi war ("anti" of course), campaign funding, the "marketplace of ideas", the internet (does Al still claim he invented it?), the feudalization of American society (huh?), and his new cable-TV enterprise went on and on ad nauseam.
Then on Thursday, former President Clinton again felt the need to undermine the country (and of course President Bush) by speaking out against the Iraq war, when he said: "The odds are not great of our prevailing there. Since the end of World War II, the only major foreign power that succeeded in putting down an insurgency was the British putting down the Malay insurgency, but the British stayed 15 years. So you can say for historical reasons, the odds are not great of our prevailing there, it's a quagmire and it could go wrong." But, oddly he said nothing about his own failings in the fight against terrorism.
By the way, wasn't it former Prez Clinton who told the King of Jordan that it was okay if he didn't fight terrorism, as long as the King agreed to contribute money to the Clinton Presidential Library? Hmmm. Seems I heard that just recently.
However, Clinton actually has a vested interest in denigrating President Bush and everyone associated with him--as well as 'talking down' the Iraq war. He wants his wife to win the POTUS position so that he can, again, occupy the White House! More interns and cigars, Sir? Ahhh..what a guy! On the other hand, Gore has little chance of running--let alone winning--any other political office in his lifetime.
With his recent negative comments, Clinton has remained himself; a well-loved-by-the-Left sleaze. But, Al has become a certifiable nut. Except for the very left-of-left groups (ie, those who cannot deal with reality and sanity), Al Gore is a liability. OOPS! Wait a minute. I keep forgetting that the Democrat Party now receives the bulk of their money from these screwball leftist groups. Therefore the leftist fanatical fringe is no more the "fringe". Instead, it has become the heart of the Democrat Party. No, not the heart and "soul". The leftists don't believe in God, so it stands to reason they don't acknowledge souls. Wow--maybe Gore does have a chance, after all. Depressing thought.
A few of Al's Wednesday speech-rants included quotes from avowed communist Walter Lippman, and a brief dissertation on the subject of "the refeudalization of the public sphere" (as explained by German philosopher Jurgen Habermas), in support of Gore's real goal--the idiotic yet subversive argument of bringing back the "Fairness Doctrine".

The Fairness Doctrine (which was not the least bit "fair") forced newspapers, radio and television stations to seek out opposing viewpoints on every controversial issue. The Left effectively used this to its advantage. If a conservative made a statement on an issue, the Left demanded equal time. However, as today, if a leftist voiced a statement, he or she would say their comments were "mainstream" and that the "Fairness Doctrine" didn't apply.
The 1987 case, Meredith Corp. v. FCC, settled the dispute. It resulted in the courts declaring that the doctrine was not mandated by Congress; therefore, the FCC did not have to continue to enforce it. Subsequently, the FCC dissolved it. Conservative talk-show hosts are winning on Radio, and Al doesn't like it.
Gore even felt compelled to bash not only President Bush, but Jeff Gannon (AKA James Guckert) when he spewed forth in rage: "The present executive branch has made it a practice to try and control and intimidate news organizations: from PBS to CBS to Newsweek. They placed a former male escort in the White House press pool to pose as a reporter, and then called upon him to give the president a hand at crucial moments!"
Yep! Only leftist reporters should be heard, 'eh Al? Then Al reverted to one of his standard lines against Republicans in general, when he spouted: "And every day they unleash squadrons of digital brownshirts to harass and hector any journalist who is critical of the President!" Gee, Al. It's actually the other way around. It's the ostensible "reporters" who unmercifully harass President Bush. Note: I guess Al has been too busy trying to get his own cable network up and running or he would have heard NBC 'journalist' David Gregory regularly attempting to eviscerate President Bush and any and all members of his administration.
These days, the crazier people are, the more the Left wants them as representatives. If you doubt it, just look at Cindy Sheehan. Sounds like Al truly does have a new chance at political office! But, one thing is good to know: Despite their supposed dislike for one another, Gore and Clinton appear to be tag-teaming again. Gore makes insane statements, so that anything Clinton says will sound rational in comparison. Do you suppose Al has approached Hillary for a position in her potential administration? Has she promised him an appointment as long as he essentially remains crazy and makes her husband look good? Could Al become the new "Global Warming Czar"? These are questions that may even be answered--some day.
As time goes on, if he continues to become more unhinged, I'll bet Al's position in a Hillary Administration (let us pray that thought perishes!) becomes more assured--at least verbally. Or it could be one of those close-but-no-cigar scenarios. The only silver lining in this bizarre grouping is that at least Tipper's not running for anything--yet.
