What's sad is is that even if every Dem votes no on Roberts, some of these bloggers will accuse them Dems of being spineless for letting him get confirmed.
Personally, I might confirm Roberts if I were in the Senate. However, I won't make a decesion until the advise and consent process is over.
In 1998 Orin Hatch introduced and passed a bill that restricted Playboy TV and other cable PPV porn channels to only 6 hours of programming per day. Playboy challenged the decision on the grounds of the 1st Amendment. The case went all the way to the Supreme Court where the law was overturned enabling Playboy and other porn channels to now broadcast 24 hours a day. All this thanks to the lawyer that argued the case before the Supreme Court. That lawyer: John Roberts, nominee for Chief Justice. So after he is confirmed remember to drop him this note "Thanks for the porn, Mr. Chief Justice". :tongue:
