U.S. Mulling How to Delay Nov. Vote in Case of Attack

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. counterterrorism officials are looking at an emergency proposal on the legal steps needed to postpone the November presidential election in case of an attack by al Qaeda, Newsweek reported on Sunday.

I hope the election will not be cancelled and it will go foward,i'm getting sick and tired of hearing ridge's terror fear reports and also the administration spinning alot of lies on the war on terror. Enough is enough.

I heard this talk tonight about whether or not they could postpone the election, and the first thing that came to my mind was that it almost sounded like they were PLANNING an attack, or making us FEAR an attack, just so it would help Bush. I wouldn't put it past them, either. Well, I don't think they'd go so far as to orchestrate the attack themselves, but I can certainly see them playing up the idea that there might be one just so people get scared and vote for Bush because they perceive him (for reasons I don't understand) as being stronger on the war on terror than Kerry. I believe this administration will stop at nothing to get elected. We've already seen them steal the election once. Why wouldn't they do it again?
