Title: McCain would kill Hillary in head to head 2008 run
GSC Admin - June 24, 2005 02:17 AM (GMT)

Why the hell can't they match anyone else up with McCain besides these two? Good god. <_<

Dear lord. We know Kerry is a loser (don't anyone jump on me--I just mean that he lost the election in '04), so why match him up against McCain? And Hillary? We know she can't win nationally. But I suppose Kerry and Hillary are considered the two frontrunners at this point. Lord help us . . .
I still have serious doubts about McCain running, though. His health issues are very serious, but no one seems to pay attention to that. I wish him no ill, but I really can't help wondering what shape he'll be in even a few years from now, let alone at the end of a term if he were to be elected.

Let me make this clear...Why don't they try putting..(pssst)...Al Gore against McCaine?...(whisper)...dare we even make THAT suggestion to Mr. Zogby? :?:
OH H*LL! I AM MAD! WHY NOT PUT AL GORE UP AGAINST MCCAINE?
Of course you know McCaine is a "two-timing four-flusher" like Lieberman and HE will keep the GOP "Forever War" against the Muslim population of the planet KILLING OUR TROOPS!....it's no longer a BU$H problem folks...the entire GOP has swallowed the BU$H IRAQI QUAGMIRE POISON PILL!...Now let them DIE with it! THE AMERICAN PEOPLE WANT AN EXIT STRATEGY! :bad:
oh yea! earthmother....how DARE you call Kerry a loser!...why he's a GREAT GUY!...there since you were expecting it LOL!

You can quote me that McCain will not get the republican nomination. The republicans hates McCain because he is not evangelical and he has spoken against Bush [once or twice].
I like McCain though. He seems like a really decent guy, and I like how he is working bi-partisan against global warming (although I don't think lowering our level of greenhouse gases immited to the level they were in 2000 is nearly enough).

McCain is a great guy, but he is an opportunist by all means. He is not one to take a unpopular stand, such as Gore did going against this war early, until it is 'politically correct' to do so. He is a player. Notice how during the 2004 election he would be buddy buddy to Kerry one day and criticizing Bush, then the next you see him on stage hugging Bush saying great things about him. Talk about a guy who goes with which way the wind blows--McCain exemplifies the phrase.

Chris, that is exactly what I mean by "two-timing four-flusher"...I used to like McCain but after he stuck a "knife" in Senator Kerry's back in 2004...I trust him about as FAR as I can THROW him! As a matter of fact I don't trust ANYONE in the GOP anymore!

McCain actually stabbed Bush in the back more than Kerry. He told the repugs to stop playing the Swift Boat ads, something that greatly lowered his approval rating among repugs (and will stick with him the rest of his career).

I think McCain is a good and reasonable man, unlike so many of the Repugs. But he's a lot more conservative than many people know. Still, if we end up having to have a Rep. in the White House again, I'd rather have McCain than Jeb or Frist.

McCain may be somewhat tolerable for a Republican, but the thought of another in the White House in 2008 sickens me.
If there is any hope for things to improve in this country we need AL GORE, not another repug.

Don't get me wrong, AGIML. You KNOW I don't want another Repug in the White House. It's just that if it comes to that . . . <_<
