Title: NJGovCand Schundler superimposed Dean Crowd in ad

Garden Stater - June 7, 2005 08:46 PM (GMT)
On Air America, Randi Rhodes just said Bret Schundler, a Republican candidate running for governor of New Jersey superimposed a Howard Dean campaign crowd into his ad, to make it seem like they were cheering for him.

This is his website: http://bret2005.com/

I'm not sure which ad it is, but I'll post again when I find more information, and/or an article about it.

By the way, for a candidate who claims to have so much support from Jersey City, the place where he was elected Mayor a few years ago, I have yet to see one ad for him here on television.

I needed to go no further than http://stopbretschundler.com "chronology of Schundler's mismanagement that nearly bankrupted Jersey City during one of the greatest economic booms!... 1992 to 2001"

And I found a link to this:

Thank God I'm Not a Republican!

If I were a Republican, I would have to support candidates whose staffs do things like this:

Separated at Birth: Bret Schundler and Howard Dean:

One photo was taken at a 2004 Dean for President rally sponsored by the American University College Democrats in Washington, D.C.

The other photo comes from Bret Schundler's campaign website, advertising Schundler's Reform Gear

Click hear[sp] to see the song written by American University College Democrat Laura Reznick -- she's the one wearing the Schundler hat and holding up the Schundler sign, and the one wearing the Dean hat and holding up the Dean sign.

All Schundler needed was ten enthusiastic young supporters and a camera. And he couldn't find them?

I'm speechless.

How do we know Dean didn't superimpose himself into Schundler's photo?

Just kidding. This is so despicable I don't even know what to say. And why isn't someone making a big deal out of this in a bigger arena than on Air America? This will just get lost in the shuffle, along with all the other underhanded, low-down, dirty tricks the Repugs use. They make me sick.

I don't really see the big deal about this. I am sure it was some techy who was doing the website design who did this. I have made several candidate and campaign sites in my day and I can tell you, you search around to find interesting and needful content from other similar sites. However, I can't say that I have ever superimposed my candidate into someone else's photo.

The problem here, among other things, is that the people's faces are so visible. Say you were the guy with the glasses to the northwest of Dean's head. How would you like it if someone superimposed Bush's face in there and it made it look like you were a Bush supporter? Besides, it's misleading. If Schundler can't get his own groups of people out there supporting him so he can get pictures with them, he shouldn't be using groups of other supporters that make it look like he's got all these people backing him. Wrong wrong wrong.

Despicable like everything the Republicans have done, it makes you wonder what lowlife garbage they will come up with next to deceive people.
