Hi, Here I'm Garden Stater, but over at AlGore-08.com I'm DJWK (and on IM's I'm AliasWK). I recently came here after being informed of this board by earthmother
2008 will be my first Presidential election, and I hope I'll have the opportuniry to vote for Al Gore! Back in 2000 (when I was in 8th grade) I thought Nader was the best candidate, just because I thought of both parties trying to do things just for the sake of votes, and not doing things because of what they stand for (I watched the debates, and the primaries). However over the past four years, seeing what George W. Bush has done, and seeing how much the "liberal Media" ;) (Ha! Yeah Right!) just kisses his Ashcroft I've definitely been turned off to the Republican Party (I don't think I ever was turned on to it, but anyway). And after seeing Ralph Nader run again in 2004, and seeing how egotistical he seems to be (not for running, but for some of the stuff he's said), I guess I've been temporarily been turned off to 3rd parties. As far as the Democratic Party goes, seeing it as our last hope to cut the Bush Regime short, and seeing in comparison how great the Clinton years were compared to Mr.ignore memos about terrorists, I've grown accustomed to the Democratic Party. I have to say seeing how they've handled the voter fraud situation, I think I'm starting to like David Cobb more than John Kerry, I mean Kerry wasn't even at the hearings Conyers held in Ohio a few weeks ago, and Kerry didn't even request a recount, he just jumped on board for a lawsuit. And Al From seemed OBLIVIOUS to the election stealing, he actually said "There were more of them than us" There are NEVER more of them than us... some would say this si the difference between the DLC (Democratic Leadership) and the more progressive Howard Dean - Al Gore "the people not the power" part of the Democratic Party. Well anyway, as you see, I long to be an independant, but just can't stop liking the Democratic Party :)
Let me add one more thing, since October when I first stumbled upon these Al Gore websites, I've learned who Al Gore is, what he's about (and most importantly to me) that he is one of the only few voices out there who will speak out against the Bush Administration, and I thank everyone who setup AlGore-08, Patriots for Gore, and this one that I have just joined, the Al Gore Support Center (I especcially like that this site informs people about Gore's stances on issues, via the main site).
If you disagree with something I've said here, feel free to call me on it, I love political debates, especially when it's with someone I disagree with.
:coolwink:
Welcome, DJWK. I didn't realize Garden Stater was you. Your posts have already made this forum more interesting, so please, continue posting as often as you can.
And I'm always glad to have someone else from the great state of New Jersey!
