Title: What I need everyone to do!

GSC Admin - November 5, 2004 12:51 PM (GMT)
Hey guys, in preperation for our journey ahead, I need some help. First off, I need to get the word out about our site and our mission. If you post on other boards on the internet, simply post our statement about the 2008 election which is on this forum. If you have friends via email, send it to them. Encourage them all to come here and join and be a part of this movement! Just in the past 2 days we have had 21 new members, which shows that people are interested. Please just help get the word out and then we will plan, organize, etc!

Thanks, Chris D. Jackson

I have personally sent information out to all of my friends that were disenchanted about what occured on Election Day as well as our choice for Presidental Candidate...they may not be supporters of Gore but all of them have shown interest in learning more about what he stands for and his vision for America. Even though work and school come first for me, I am anxious to start working for this reality to take place!!!!!

Democrats need encouragement and leadership right now. Gore is uniquely situated, having repeated the mantra of "risky tax schemes" often back in 2000, as well as billing himself as a raging moderate over the years. He can seize and direct the democratic agenda, while the DNC website consists of Kerry's concession speech and nothing else. Even if it is called quixotic or worse, Gore should come out as soon as possible as a candidate in 2008, the earlier the better. "STAND AND FIGHT", since Bush intends to do as much damage as possible in the next 12-24 months.

I will start sending out e-mails to my all my friends immediately. Al Gore is the obvious choice in 2008.

Hi all,

You may remember me from www.electgore04.com, and I believe it is in our best interest to unite under one banner. :good: I think that the adminstrator(s) of this site, www.electgore2008.com and www.algoredemocrats.com should discuss how that can be done. There was so much confusion with multiple groups and plans regarding the "Draft Gore" effort that we divided our energies although we all had the same goal.

And we should get those people interested in electing Al Gore involved in the Democratic Party heirarchy as soon as possible. The party has a structure, and we need our people to become involved with local ward or town Democratic committees, to register as many voters as humanly possible, and to organize locally. That is how we can help secure the Democratic Party nomination for Al Gore in 2008. :D

Sincerely,
Wayne J. Wilson, Jr.
Member, Ward 19 Democratic Committee, Boston
Candidate for Democratic State Committee, 2008

Wayne, we will be doing most of the work from our site here. However, I have offered the other sites the chance to work together on various things. Each site has something they need to do, but have common things. I don't buy into the idea that all sites need to shut down and become one, that is not good. We need alot of sites to make a point. We also need about two or three big, active sites like GSC and AGDEMS which can be the breeding grounds. I am ready and willing to work with the other sites, however, GSC is staying put. The people here have done too many good things in the name of GSC to just have it thrown out. Just look at how the Dean campaign was done online, that is what we need to do.

GSC will soon be registered as a PAC so we can then accept political donations.

will do.
Please note- I was CLAY on the draftgore board, and signed up here a long time ago, but could not figure password, and think the email is defuct, so signed up again as this. But it is the same Clay as on the draftgore board.

It is never too early.

We must stop Edwards. He is a loser, adds nothing, but has some vicious fans
Most self-serving poltician I have ever seen in 40 years of politics, esp. for
someone who has done nothing.

A Gore/Obama connection would be wonderful.

Al endorsing Dean was still the most interesting move of the past year, too bad the dems sabatoged Dean, much like they did Al, especially during Al's recount.

look forward to hopefully getting Al in, and I will pass this along all the time.

glad to be back among friends. Those JE people and anti-Gore people really bring one down.

One thing we all need to figure out is-HOW does any candidate get by the slime
of the right and their smears???

This, it seems to me, is the BIGGEST single obstacle we need to overcome. Until the Dems. figure out how to respond to/deal with the lies the right wing puts out there, we are doomed. Americans appear to be too stupid to think for themselves and separate truth from fiction. How do we tackle that?
